THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST PERSONAL AREA OF THIS SITE. IN THE PAST FEW YEARS, ONE QUESTION HAS POPPED UP AGAIN AND AGAIN:

HOW CAN WE CREATE SOMETHING NEW WITH THE RESOURCES WE HAVE?

SO HERE I AM NOW, RECREATING AND REDESIGNING OBJECTS EVERYONE NEEDS IN THEIR DAILY LIFE IN THE MOST SUSTAINABLE WAY POSSIBLE FOR ME.

I LOVE THE THOUGHT OF CELEBRATING THE HISTORY OF A PIECE AND AT THE SAME TIME CREATING SOMETHING NEW OUT OF IT.

MATERIALS
I make careful and deliberate choices when selecting materials, taking into account their environmental impact, place of origin, and the fair treatment of everyone involved in their production.
I am pleased to align myself with material suppliers who share my values, such as those who prioritize the avoidance of harmful substances like mineral oil and microplastics and prioritize local production. My goal is that the pieces are recreated in the most environmentally responsible manner possible.
ENERGY
When working in a partly digital environment, it's impossible to ignore the source of the energy that we consume. For this reason, I've made a deliberate choice to exclusively use electricity generated by hydroelectric power plants.
ORIGIN
The creative process always starts with the narrative of each piece. Exploring questions such as who the designer was, where the piece was produced, and what we can discover about its previous owners.
Each item holds a unique history and has its own story to share. Perhaps a chair once held a prominent place in a family's dining room, or a table served as the setting for an author's literary inspiration.
As a creator, I recognize the responsibility of respecting the past while also crafting something fresh and innovative. By honoring the legacy of each piece, I strive to create designs that are both timeless and contemporary.
LIFETIME
In a time where fast furniture dominates the industry, I try to act as a counterforce.
The average person today owns around 10.000 objects and with that the appreciation for each one sinks.
I want to move in a different direction and raise awareness by providing pieces with history, joy and soul.
Most of the pieces are over 50 years old, and giving them a second life gives me an enormous feeling of purpose and fulfilment. I hope that the piece will be a part of your home for a lifetime.
It’s my contribution to a more sustainable consumption.
